Community Edition is a free, easy-to-use content management system. It is available under an Open Source license, GPL version 3. The Community Edition includes an AJAX-powered intuitive browser interface, a clear Java programming API and a useful custom tag library for easy templating in JSP and Servlets. It can use any JSR-170 compliant content repository.
Enterprise Edition is the best choice to build mission-critical websites. Enterprise benefits include free 60-day trial, access to Magnolia Evaluation Center, visible source code through Magnolia Network Agreement, installer and advanced enterprise features.
Web Application Archive (WAR). Magnolia CMS Enterprise Edition is also available as a Web Application Archive (WAR). The WAR file includes the CMS application but no add-ons or application server. You need to deploy it on an existing application server.
