Release notes for Magnolia 3.6.1
What has changed since Magnolia 3.6This is a bugfix release, mainly fixing a bug in the cache module which caused documents from the filesystem ("docroot") to not be cached and served properly. As usual, the complete list of changes can be found on our Jira.
It is also bundled with a new release of the Data module, which fixes a couple of issues related to activation and node types.
How to update from Magnolia 3.6Please refer to the general update procedure page. Additionally, you need to update the nodetypes definitions and update the data to fix the issue described in MGNLDATA-40: execute the
update35to36scripts (or their
.batequivalents) from the
add-ons/magnolia-tools/binfolder like you did when updating to 3.6. On a typical setup, you'll only need to pass it the
-webappargument, like for example:
./updatenodetypes -webapp /Applications/Magnolia/apache-tomcat-5.5.25/webapps/magnoliaAuthor/ ./update35to36 -webapp /Applications/Magnolia/apache-tomcat-5.5.25/webapps/magnoliaAuthor/
How to update from an earlier version of MagnoliaPlease refer to the release notes for Magnolia 3.6. The procedure is identical.
Repository issues after upgradeThe version of Magnolia Tools bundled with Magnolia 3.6 and 3.6.1 has been updated. Please download the latest version (1.0.2) of Magnolia Tools from our download area, which includes fixes for MGNLTOOLS-21, MGNLTOOLS-22 and MGNLDATA-43.
Backup moduleThere is an issue when restoring a backup MGNLBACKUP-13 that will be fixed in 3.6.2
LeopardLeopard's firewall behaves significantly differently than the firewall shipped with OSX 10.4. The symptoms are that Tomcat seems unreachable ("kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork:302"), but unfortunately no message is clearly logged about the issue.
Please see the list of known issues in the administration section for more details.
