User Manual for Magnolia 4.4
Starting with Magnolia CMS 4.5, we move the contents of this user manual to dedicated top-level sections. For example, you will find information about editing content in Editing and information about workflow in Workflow. We believe this makes it quicker to find what you need and makes maintaining the site easier.
Magnolia is one of the most user-friendly Content Management Systems (CMS) available and allows editors to concentrate on what they do best - creating content.
Editors can now fully control the content of their pages, without having to rely on the technical expertise of others. Because Magnolia is an incredibly flexible and powerful system, as an editor you can also add your own special touch of creativity. The layout, structure and general appearance of your web pages are contained in template scripts which render the code and style, and arrange the content elements.
This manual is intended for editors and we have attempted to cover all conceivable tasks that you would typically perform. The subject matter is aimed primarily at users who have little or no technical knowledge. The only real prerequisites are a working knowledge of your browser and very basic computer competency.
The manual is divided into the following main sections:
To come to terms with Magnolia's full functionality, we suggest that you go through the contents of this manual from start to finish. We have attempted to limit the use of jargon to an absolute minimum and hope that you find this manual easy to use.
