What has changed since Magnolia 4.5.12

Magnolia 4.5.13 delivers the following fixes and enhancements:

  • Google Sitemap module allows you to create a different XML sitemap for desktop and mobile. It also provides an option to hide the sitemap page from navigation.
  • Fixed a caching error where files were truncated to a maximum of 512 MB. This restriction has been removed allowing the full file to be downloaded.
  • XML import now prevents same name sibling nodes. Same name siblings may exist when XML is generated outside of Magnolia or edited by hand.
  • If the type of a node changes, prior versions of the node in the mgnlVersions workspace are also updated to reflect the new type
  • Edit bars for areas and subcomponents of inherited components are no longer displayed.
  • In the contentNavigation template, the ul element is now used outside lists.

An aggregated change log for 4.5.13 contains all the changes.

This release is a recommended update for all users of Magnolia 4.5.

(info) This is a maintenance release of a previous major version (4.5) of Magnolia, therefore available only to Enterprise clients. Read our maintenance policy for details. The released artifacts are in the magnolia.public.maintenance.releases repository (login required).

How to migrate from Magnolia 4.4.7

Migration is your starting point. You should understand that migration is not a simple update but an effort that needs to be planned ahead.

How to migrate from versions prior to 4.4.6

Updating from a version prior to 4.4.6 directly to 4.5.x does not work. You need to first update to 4.4.6, then follow the procedure described in Migration. Finally, follow How to update from Magnolia 4.5.x above.
