The Messages app allows users to send messages to each other via Pulse. They can send messages to individual users, groups or all users. An administrator can use the app to notify users of upcoming system outages, for example. The app is accessible at Dev > Messages.

Configuration

The Messages app is installed by the Messages app module. The Dev app group that this app belongs to is only available to the superuser role. This is configured in the app launcher layout. The app is configured at Configuration > /modules/messages-app/apps/messages.
