Magnolia CORE 5.6.8 is a bugfixing and security release that corrects the following issues:

Internal error in the Definitions app

This release fixes a Null Pointer Exception occurring randomly in the Definitions app when you use the app:

CFGUI-78

Multiple jQuery files loaded

Groovy module's Terminal component caused jQuery to be loaded twice. To prevent this from happening again, only jQuery provided by Magnolia is now loaded for use in the Magnolia Groovy Rescue app.

MGNLGROOVY-177

Pages with component variants breaking cache

We have fixed an issue with cache and component personalization where cache was always serving a personalized page even though the original variant should have been displayed instead.

MGNLPN-426

Security vulnerability

We have fixed a security issue with this release. We keep details of this kind of fix private in line with our Security Policy. Contact our Support Team if you need more information.

MGNLUI-4472 ((warning) restricted access)

Others

If you are upgrading from an earlier version, read the Upgrading to Magnolia 5.6.x page first and check the Known issues section on it.

Changelog

See the 5.6.8 changelog for all the changes.

Updated modules

Note that the version numbers for the Magnolia main and UI projects are not in sync with the version number of this release.

If you are updating from an earlier version, projects based on an older maven archetype may not build correctly starting with Magnolia 5.6.3. This is because the version of the Magnolia main modules is not the same as the Magnolia bundle anymore. If you experience problems, update your project parent pom.
