We encountered a situation where we could not activate content anymore. Inspecting the Expressions workspace showed that there were a large number of jobs under
Expressions:/owfe/activation (nearly 1.000!) and
Expressions:/owfe/deactivation (nearly 10.000!). No new activation or deactivation requests seemed to go through.
We decided the purge the Store and Expressions workspaces completely, like this:
- Stop the author instance
- Drop the EXPRESSIONS_* and STORE_* database tables:
- Start the author instance
After this we could activate and deactivate content again.
Note: You will loose any unfinished activation requests and the content of all Inboxes.
